All in one

More than a scouting app

Borrowed Tine does the job of the mapping app, the trail cam app, the group text and the video editor. Then it adds the part none of them have: your hunt, live, with the people you hunt with.

Privacy comes first

Your spots stay yours

Your ground took years to figure out. A social app for hunters only works if it can't give that away, so privacy isn't a setting here. It's how the app is built, and you agree to these promises with us at sign-up.

Private by default

Your scouting lives on your phone. Nothing you log is seen by anyone unless you choose to share it.

You pick who sees each post

Just you, a crew you invited, or the public. You choose every time, and you can change your mind.

Public posts go out clean

No GPS. No photo data. Trail camera stamps and camera names cropped off. Never a location closer than your state.

A living buck stays protected

His times, winds and cameras stay off public posts unless you switch each one on for that post.

Live hunts never show where

Followers learn that you're hunting, that you shot, and that he's down. Never the stand, never the property.

Never tracked

The app uses your location only while it's open. No background tracking, and your position is never shared with anyone.

The AI sees only what you send

The Guide reads a written summary of your season, with places as a distance and direction, never coordinates. Photos go to it only when you ask it to describe a buck, and only the ones you pick.

Take it back anytime

Pull a post and it comes off our servers and your crew's phones. Delete your account from inside the app.

Never sold

No ads. No trackers. We don't sell your data or your hunting spots to anyone, ever.

Social

Hunt live. Your crew rides along.

Start a hunt and the people who matter know you're in the stand. They see the clips you add, the moment you shoot, and the moment he's down, as it happens. Nothing else in hunting works like this.

It's a social platform built for how hunters actually share: a feed of hunters to follow, crews for the people you trust, and alerts that mean something.

  • Live hunts: a running timeline of your sit, with clips, shot and recovery
  • Live shed tracking: every find goes to your crew with the buck and the score
  • Alerts you choose: hunting, shot, down, new videos, sheds, comments
  • Crews: private groups that share bucks, sightings and maps
  • Who's in which stand: a crewmate on a live hunt shows on your shared map
  • A feed of hunters: follow, like and comment, and tell it what you want less of
  • Followers know you're hunting. They never see where.

Mapping

The map, with the lines that matter

Orange property lines over satellite, in every state. Tap a parcel to see who owns it and how many acres, then make it your property line in one tap. Know whose door to knock on.

Then take the trees off. LiDAR shows the bare ground under the timber: the ditches, benches, old roads and saddles deer actually use.

  • Property lines and landowners, nationwide, with Pro + Lines
  • LiDAR bare ground, steepness, which way a slope faces, topo and infrared
  • Elevation lines to read ridges, benches, saddles and draws
  • Stand ratings for the hour's wind, good or bad
  • Every buck's movement, with the way he comes and goes
  • Hot scrapes light up; cold ones ice over
  • Public land outlined, coast to coast

Scouting

Every buck, from any camera

Load photos from any trail camera brand, your phone or your drone. Borrowed Tine reads the stamp, fills in the weather, and files each sighting under the right buck. Then it shows you his pattern.

  • Works with Moultrie, Tactacam, Spypoint, Browning, Stealth Cam and more
  • A profile for every buck, season after season
  • Real odds by wind, pressure, moon and time of day, with quiet days counted
  • Movement in shooting hours: the conditions that put him on his feet in daylight
  • Two likely bedding spots for every buck, with the sightings behind them
  • Best sits alerts when the forecast lines up with his history
  • Send a buck's whole profile to a buddy as one clean picture
  • Free age and score estimates

The Guide

An advisor that knows your ground

The Guide is an AI that has read your whole season: your bucks, your stands, your sits and tomorrow's forecast. Ask it where to sit, and argue with it when you disagree.

  • Built on your own logged data
  • Answers with the reasons behind them
  • Your GPS never leaves your phone
  • Can size a buck up from photos you choose to send
Example conversation
I'm hunting tomorrow morning for my hit list. Where are my best 3 spots?
1. The creek bottom stand. Tomorrow's southeast wind is good for it in the morning, and your number one buck has shown on 4 of 6 southeast mornings, moving past that scrape before light.
2. The ridge stand. A good wind too, but you've sat it three times this week. I'd rest it.
What if the wind swings west?
Then skip the bottom. Your scent blows straight into where he beds.
Create and share

Make the video. Post it everywhere.

Pick a buck or a hunt and get a finished video in a tap, with the story your data tells. Post it in Borrowed Tine and send it straight to your other socials.

  • Buck stories, hunt recaps, season edits and harvest videos
  • Post anything: a clip from the truck, a laugh, a podcast cut
  • Sized for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook
  • Auto-edit finds the best part of every clip, including the shot
  • Every export leaves out your GPS and your camera names
The Create menu: start a hunt, log trail cam photos, post something, make a video
Crews and clubs

Who's in which stand, settled

Every crew gets a stand schedule: reserve a stand for the morning or the evening and everyone sees who has what. Hunting clubs can turn on the rules, with seniority, reserve-ahead times and overrides set by the president.

And when the season needs a little more on the line, start a competition.

  • Reserve a stand from the schedule or right on the map
  • Club rules, enforced for everyone the same way
  • Competitions: biggest buck, team against team, or most sheds in the off season
  • Scores signed off by the other side, never by yourself
  • Invite a buddy who isn't on the app yet with a six-letter code

Get graded as a hunter

Your logged seasons add up to a hunter rating on your profile. It rewards woodsmanship: tracking a buck for seasons, patterning him, and closing the deal. Not just inches of antler.

  • Shown next to your name, or hidden if you'd rather

A check means the feature is listed on that app's own website or App Store page. A dash means we didn't find it listed there; it doesn't prove the app can't do it. Checked October 4, 2026. Several of these apps go further than Borrowed Tine on offline maps, 3D and LiDAR maps, movement forecasts and cellular camera sync. Product names belong to their owners; Borrowed Tine isn't affiliated with any of them.

Share the hunt. Keep the spot.

Every post is private, crew or public, and you choose each time. Public posts never carry GPS, camera names or anything closer than your state.
